Becoming An Editor of a Special Edition
The fall and spring issues of Social Work & Christianity provide an opportunity for authors to focus on a specific topic of interest to the journal's readers. For these special issues, the journal recruits individuals with expertise in the given topic to oversee the selection of manuscripts for that issue. If you are interested in suggesting a topic or becoming an editor for a special topic issue, please review the following video. In this video, Jean Roberson, the Asst. Editor for Special Issues, provides an overview of the process and a timeline within which an idea moves to a call for papers, the selection of manuscripts and eventual publication.
Then in a second video, Jean describes the process by which special editors craft a proposal for to recruit manuscript submissions for an upcoming special issue.
Lastly in a third video, Jean provide an overview of the various steps by which guest editors produce a special issue of the journal.
